If you’ve kept up, you’d know that there’s an impending super-battle between Dan Henderson and Fedor Emelianenko. I’ve always favored the Russian Assassin but when I first heard about this match up I remember laughing loudly than saying, “Game over.” I guess what I’m saying is Fedor is approaching retirement age and shouldn’t take on Dan Henderson, a man who’s power punch is frequently referred to by color commentators as an H-bomb. So imagine my immense surprise when I found that the betting odds for Fedor vs. Henderson are as follows:
Dan Henderson: +210
Fedor Emelianenko: -280
Basically, Fedor is a 3-to-1 favorite against Dan Hendo.
Wow, no way.
Fedor is a legend with remarkable skills but he’s an aging veteran who’s seemingly on his way down. Dan Henderson just finished two of his opponents in his last fights. He’s still fit and can throw a punch.
Right now Fedor’s true competitive advantage is the fact that the fight will take place at Heavyweight. This means that Dan Henderson the current Light heavyweight champion will have to put on at least 25 pounds to match Fedor’s size leaving him slow, sweaty and thoroughly unattractive.
Fedor’s skills, experience and size don’t warrant 3-to-1 odds rather something nearer 2-to-1.

You do know Dan Henderson is 4 years older than Fedor? lol~ If Fedor is approaching retirement cause of his age, um..than what about Hendo? Use some common sense dude!
