The fellas over at THQ have produced this short video of Alistair Overeem and Brock Lesnar getting it on at UFC 141 in the Octagon. It’s a fight simulation designed to predict who takes all next Saturday. THQ ran 25 AI simulations and decided that Overeem would probably win.
Most of the animation is pretty acceptable. Notable points include Overeem’s face being quite gorilla-like and Lesnar’s hair looking absolutely hilarious, much like in real life.

This is kind of like those gimmicky videos produced by Spike’s “Deadliest Warrior” but without knives or beheadings. Anyway, most of the stats in the video seem pretty plausible. Lesnar attempting 287 takedowns, Overeem sweeping from guard an average of two times per fight… yeah pretty believable stuff. But the one where it says Lesnar and Overeem rocked each other an equal number of times per fight… that prediction seems cocaine-ridden. I reject it. Plus that would be sad. For everyone.
