I like the talk of a superfight but i must say, i think if GSP moved up he would be destroyed at middleweigt. He fights or more like, wrestles, at welterweight for a reason.. he is huge ast that weight and can dominate a point based fight with anyone there. Sorry GSP fans, but that is the truth of the matter. Not a superfight.
Sonnen is a good wrestler who is a natural middleweight. He put up a good beginners wresting show, but facts r facts, silva was fighting hurt and still won. He was in so much pain he didnt even close his gaurd till he ended the fight. A healthy silva vs sonnen or anybody who competes on sonnens level, is not a superfight.
Anderson has owned and has is utterly feared by everyone at middleweight. MOVE UP. Jon jones can knock silva out. He can subit him or own the grown and pound as well. (if he has a career fight) but most importantly ..this kid isnt scared to hit anybody, even the p4p best on the planet.. he will more forwad in any fight and i think that he is one of the strongest, fastest, most talented fighter to ever hit the ufc. Silva vs Jones for the light heavyweight crown.. that is THE superfight for me

Anderson got beat up alright .. four weeks before the fight by his trainer. He was fighting sonnen with 2 bruised ribs. Thats why, but i guess u didnt notice, he never even closed his guard for 5 rounds on the ground. Ever try to fight a wrestler when u have a busted torso? He attempted one submission and it sank into sonnen in .05 seconds flat, even with a dominating injury. He rode out a hurt fight till he found an opportunity

It’s the UFC Rules and Age of the fighter. Look at All the Pride fighters that merged to UFC they all took it hard with the adjustments of the rules. For example Wanderlei he’s a master of the ground and pound stomp and knee dirty fighter. You put him in UFC and say you can’t do this and that and fight clean …etc. It changes the how one fights.
